Disney announces opening date for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

We now know the opening date for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland. See if you will be able to enjoy this attraction on your next trip.

Step into the world of Mickey and Minnie in this new attraction. It is the first ride to feature our favorite mice! If you love the attraction over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will be excited to know that you will be able to enjoy it at Disneyland too!

According to Ken Potrock, who is the President of Disneyland, Runaway Railway will not be identical on both coasts. In fact, he states the Disneyland version will be the better of the two! In an interview with the Orange County Register, he stated the Disneyland version will be better because it has “enhancements” Disney World does not have. Could that mean more interactive features? Different technology? We will have to wait and see.

Opening Date

During D23’s Expo event, we found out that Disney’s Toontown would be opening in early 2023. No other details regarding Toontown have been announced, but we cannot wait to hear more! While we knew a timeline for Toontown, some guests might have been disappointed when an opening date was not announced for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The latest news we really knew about was a new poster had been released. Today, we finally know an opening date!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open to guests on January 27, 2023 along with the kickoff for the Disney100 anniversary!

This is such exciting news for guests waiting for this new attraction to open at Disneyland.
