Disney resumed sales of select annual passes yesterday. Just a little more than 24 hours later, new sales were halted.
Annual Passes
When Disney World and Disneyland closed in March 2020, many changes took place. Among those were their annual pass programs. At one point, you could not purchase new passes for either coast for several months.
In August 2021, Disney finally announced new/modified programs at both Disneyland and Disney World. There are now more tiers, higher prices, and different park pass allotments.
However, that was short lived as many of the tiers sold out. They have been unavailable for months. Most Guests who want to purchase new passes or let their passes expire are out of luck. If you currently have a pass and are even considering visiting in the future, keep your pass current! Do not let it expire!
Resumed Sales of Select Annual Passes
Disney World annual passes will not resume before the end of 2022. On the other hand, Disneyland resumed sales of passes yesterday, November 16.
The Magic Key program provides reservation-based admission to one or both Disneyland Resort theme parks where you’ll make memories visit after visit. Magic Key passes feature a variety of admission opportunities, pricing options, experiences, and savings on food, beverages and merchandise.
Magic Key holders enjoy admission opportunities, value and convenience at the Disneyland Resort. Whether you consider yourself a Mouseketeer, Space Ranger or superhero, there is something for everyone as a Magic Key holder.
Take a look at last year’s prices, and see how they’ve increased. The Inspire, Believe, and Imagine passes resumed sales with the following new pricing:
- Inspire: $1599
- Believe: $1099
- Imagine: $449 (Southern California residents only)
Unfortunately, Disneyland did not make the Enchant pass available.
New Sales Halted
Demand was pent up for Disneyland fans because the majority of these passes sold out in just one day! Check out Disneyland’s updated statement below:
At this time, guests have the opportunity to purchase a pass made available within the program. The quantity of passes and pass types available for renewal or purchase may be limited, and passes or a pass type may be unavailable from time to time or at any given time. The Enchant Key, Believe Key and Imagine Key are currently available for renewal only.
New sales of the Magic Key Annual Passes sold out in just day! Now, renewals are the only way to purchase them.
