In September, Walt Disney World was greatly affected by Hurricane Ian. Walt Disney World closed for two days as Hurricane Ian made its course toward the Walt Disney World Resort. There was a phased reopening for the Disney Parks and some attractions had delayed reopenings due to possible complications from the storm.

Hurricane season extends through November, and we were hopeful that the turbulent weather was behind us. Now, a new Tropical Storm is forming. Let’s check out all that we know about this Tropical Storm at this time.

The National Hurricane Center shared information with the Orlando Sentinel about possible Tropical Storm and Tropical Depression formations. At 8:00 am this morning, the National Hurricane Center predicts a large nontropical low-pressure system will develop this weekend over the northeastern Caribbean Sea and southwestern Atlantic near Puerto Rico.

“The system is initially expected to be very broad and disorganized, but it could begin to acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics by the end of the weekend,” forecasters said.

“Environmental conditions could support additional gradual development early next week and a subtropical or tropical depression could form while the disturbance moves generally northwestward or westward over the southwestern Atlantic.”

The formation is now increased to 40% and is predicted to form in the next 5 days. If this continues to grow, it will be classified as Tropical Storm Nicole. We will continue to monitor this formation and pray that it will not affect Florida.

The temperature has cooled off too much for another one to get that close to Florida.
