Breaking: Disney Announces a Huge Overhaul for Tomorrowland
Disney just announced that Tomorrowland will be reimagined! Here is everything we know so far.
Tomorrowland

Disney Parks are full of themed lands. Tomorrowland was meant to be a look at what the future could look like.
Walt Disney himself said, "Tomorrow can be a wonderful age. Our scientists today are opening the doors of the Space Age to achievements that will benefit our children and generations to come. The Tomorrowland attractions have been designed to give you an opportunity to participate in adventures that are a living blueprint of our future."
The dilemma with Tomorrowland is that as we hurdle toward the future, it runs the risk of becoming "Yesterdayland." The intent was never for it to become a dated snapshot of what people used to think the future would be like.
Reimagining Tomorrowland

At this weekend's D23 event, Disney dropped a massive announcement. Tomorrowland is being reimagined.
This reimagining will take place in Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Walt Disney Imagineers are already beginning to dream up the next chapter of innovation and storytelling for Tomorrowland with new attractions, more open spaces, and new places for Disneyland guests to dream about the future.

According to Disney Parks Blog, "The plans for Tomorrowland will restore the spirit of optimism, innovation and possibility that inspired Walt Disney to create 'a vista into a world of wondrous ideas…' in 1955 and have defined this land for decades."
What To Expect

Any time Disney announces rethemes, reimagining, or refurbishments, fans worry that they will lose the things they have emotional connections with. So for this overhaul, we all want to know: what new things are coming, what is being updated, and what beloved attractions will completely vanish?
Disney will honor the original land with the transformation.

However, according to Disney, "The transformation of Tomorrowland will honor the legacy of the original land while reimagining its future. Disneyland Resort will strive to preserve what guests cherish most, while also introducing new experiences and possibilities for the next generation of fans." (And who knows, maybe we will even get the People Mover back!)
We do not have a timeline for when the transformation will begin to take place. But be sure to follow along with us here at Kennythepirate.com as Disney is sure to deliver news.
