Breaking: Huge Villains Land News at Magic Kingdom
Disney just announced new villains, two new attractions, and maybe even a third attraction? Check out all of the exciting details for this new land.
Magic Kingdom's Biggest Expansion
There are BIG changes coming to Magic Kingdom with the new Villains Land and the new Cars-themed Piston Peak National Park.
Disney has shared a few details about what each of these lands will feature. Villains Land will include 2 attractions, dining, shopping, and more. Be sure to check out the full villainous lineup HERE.
As Guests journey into Villains Land, they will travel through a haunting forest similar to Snow White and spy a broken Wishing Well and an evil wish. Imagineers promise that "The size and scale were compared to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, so there will be no shortage of space to explore and enjoy a bit of mischievous fun."
Maleficient Coaster Villains Land
Maleficent is a favorite villain for many. Guests will come face-to-face with the Mistress of All Evil herself, Maleficent. You'll race through enchanted briars surrounding her frightening mountaintop fortress - if you're feeling brave enough to answer her invitation.
The Imagineering team teased that this coaster will include elements they've never attempted before on similar attractions, so it is set to be a truly groundbreaking project.
Mirror Realm Dark Ride
Disney Imagineers shared that there will be a second attraction that will be a dark ride that will take Guests deep into the catacombs beneath the Evil Queen's Palace, featuring a whole array of your favorite Disney Villains - hosted by the Magic Mirror.
After making your way to him, he'll magically transport you into his mystical Mirror Realm to see things on the other side of the mirror.
There, in his ethereal realm, you'll be transfixed by countless Disney Villains conjured in ways only the Magic Mirror can do. A combination of special effects and physical set pieces will bring his Mirror Realm - and these iconic Villains - to life.
Cruella de Vil Attraction?
During D23, Disney Imagineers announced that Cruella de Vil, the Evil Queen, and Dr. Facilier will have their own Villains Lair in this new land.
The Maleficent Coaster will be "a truly groundbreaking project.
Interestingly enough, Disney teased that there will be a Cruella de Vil-themed attraction when they brought Glenn Close on stage. While Disney did confirm the two above-mentioned attractions, there is no information on this 3rd Cruella de Vil attraction. We love the confirmed attractions, but find ourselves scratching our heads if this third attraction was a joke or a new announcement.
