Genie+
Built on top of Genie, the Genie+ is a paid feature that offers more convenience and flexibility. Here is the shortened version: for $15 per person per day at Disney World and $20 per person per day at Disneyland (sometimes a discount is available), choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance.
You can choose to use the standby line instead of purchasing Genie+. In doing so, Disney is not forcing you to pay for this feature. For more about Genie+, see our guide HERE.
Characters incoming
Many meet and greets are returning in the coming weeks! Mirabel made her grand debut at Magic Kingdom, and Minnie will soon be meeting with Mickey at the Town Square Theater!
Over in Animal Kingdom, Dinoland characters return soon, so make sure you have those autograph books ready! It’s nice to see character meets return to Animal Kingdom.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars Launch Bay will reopen on July 17th. A celebration of the legendary space saga, Star Wars Launch Bay is your place for a warm embrace with Chewbacca, a face-to-droid encounter with BB-8, or a run-in with Darth Vader himself for those brave enough.
New attractions added to Genie+
Speaking of Star Wars Launch Bay, three character meets will be included with Genie+! The following attractions are included with Genie+ in just a few weeks.
- Star Wars Launch Bay (Beginning July 17, 2022)
- Star Wars Launch Bay: Encounter Darth Vader (Beginning July 17, 2022)
- Star Wars Launch Bay: Meet Chewbacca (Beginning July 17, 2022)
As a reminder, until August 7, 2022, Lightning Lane entry selections for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is offered through Disney Genie+ service and will not be available as individual (à la carte) purchases.
