Disney Genie+ costs $15 per person per day at Disney World and $20 per person per day at Disneyland (sometimes a discount is available). This allows guests to choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance.

You can make one selection at a time all throughout the day. 40+ attractions are included at Walt Disney World and 15+ attractions will be available at Disneyland. Here is the regular list. Additionally, select character sightings are part of the Genie+ service. See which ones are currently offered HERE.

Back in March, Disney moved a few attractions offered through the a la carte option (called Individual Lightning Lane Selections) over to Genie+. This includes Frozen Ever After, Space Mountain, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This change is effective until August 7.

Soon after Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was changed from the Individual Lightning Lane listing to be offered with Disney Genie+. All attractions were set to return to the Individual Lightning Lane after August 7th. When the busy summer crowds had dissipated.

Could this Change be Permanent?

An interesting change on the Walt Disney World website causes us to wonder if two popular attractions may be available on Disney Genie+ even after August 7th. Let’s start with EPCOT. Previously both Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure were both listed for Individual LIghting Lane. These were both moved to Disney Genie+ until August 7th.

When Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened it was the only attraction available for the Individual Lightning Lane for EPCOT. Now the Walt Disney World website only lists Frozen Ever After and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind under Individual Lightning Lane Entrances.

The double asterisk does denote that both Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure are only available for Disney Genie+ until August 7th. Previously both attractions were listed under the Individual Lightning Lane Entrances.

Both Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Expedition Everest are no longer listed under Individual Lightning Lane attractions.

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, previously both Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest were available under the Individual Lightning Lane Entrances. Expedition Everest was set to return to Individual Lightning Lane after August 7th. Now this attraction has been moved under the Disney Genie+ listing with the double-asterisk as with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Although this is not an official announcement from Disney, it does cause us to wonder if these two attractions may remain under Disney Genie+ even past August 7th.
