We’re not sure if we have ever had a friend like the Disney Genie or not, but ready or not here he comes. Find out what will be included in the price of the added expense of the Disney Genie+ planning tool.
Disney Genie+
The Disney Genie+ is a paid feature that allows Guests to choose a next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance.
This sounds a lot like the FastPass system that we used to enjoy for FREE. Disney Genie+ will cost $15 per person per day at Disney World and $20 per person per day at Disneyland.

What do you think of the Genie+? Will you be using it on your next Disney trip? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
We have been going to Disney World for the past 28 years. We just went for the 50th anniversary and I have to say I was disappointed to see that they are going to price gouge for access to the most popular rides. My kids grew up on Disney and now my grandkids are big fans. I honestly don’t think I will be making our annual trip to Disney next year. I’d rather spend my money at Universal than spend extra money on top of the genie pass to ride our favorite rides. Disney executives have made it impossible for the average American family to make memories at Disney parks. Shame on you! I’m sure Walt Disney would not be on board with these policies
His granddaughter agrees with you.
Going in November. Definitely going to pony up the extra for Genie Plus. Depends on pricing for Premium rides though. And if I pay, it better be as close to a walk on as possible. No more than 5 minute wait.
Our family gets to go once every 3-4 years. We will gladly pay extra to get shorter lines which gives you the opportunity to do more rides. We are there at rope drop until park closes. To balance out the extra expenses we rent a house and spend less on meals by doing only over the counter meals. The more people who dont want to pay extra will just make our lines shorter!
I think either the whole idea needs to be scrapped or they should have brought back the Fast Passes as they were. I was there during a busy time recently and the lines were not bad at all. Fast Passes only slowed down the lines and now Disney will slow down the lines on purpose to make more money. I hope people will boycott the new system. At some point we all need to vote with our pocketbook, but sadly I know the very wealthy will not care about this and will buy into it. Disney execs are just trying to price out the average middle income families which is so horrendous as those are the very families that have built this company. The dedicated Disney fan family that faithfully goes once or twice a year, spends a bundle on merch and food, and yet somehow Disney views these families as undesirable. Just sad Disney!
No they don’t???
I want to know how all this affects users of the DAS program
I am both sickened and heartbroken that my grandchildren will never be able to visit Disney World or Disneyland every year with family or that my sons will never be able to experience the joy of taking their children and seeing their precious faces as their favorite character is alive right in front of them and hugging them! You have priced yourselves right out of our lives. I was a very proud and grateful Opening Cast Member at the North Canton ,Ohio Store. My husband and I loved Disney and all that Walt originally stood for. Our boys grew up at Disney World. We can not even afford to go as a full family anymore! We would go every year religiously and even took their friends with us as we were DVC Members as well.
It is such a crime that you have taken what was once Mr. Disney’s Dream place where entire families could go together and in a safe atmosphere ,laugh and enjoy everything there was to enjoy., you have commercialized and out priced yourselves out of so many familie’s lives. These younger generations who are growing up with so many obstacles in front of them should be able to go to any of the parks with their entire families as Walt had planned.
Shame on the Execs and CEOs who are robbing families of this joy and opportunity ,only to pad their pockets so that THEY and THEIR families can live a happier life.
I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS IS THE WAY WALT PLANNED IT. IT WOULD BE MY GUESS THAT IF YOU WORKED FOR WALT TODAY, HE WOULD FIRE EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!
You have slinky dog listed as ride on Genie+ and as a bigger ride that’s costs extra.
