Disney is revamping the beloved “Finding Nemo-The Musical!” Now we have a debut date and the Genie+ offering for the new show!
Finding Nemo Show
We learned back last fall that the show, which has not yet returned since the Parks closed in 2020, would be undergoing some BIG changes! From Disney Parks Blog,
“Finding Nemo — The Musical” has been delighting our guests since 2007, and I’m excited to tell you a reimagined show, based on the same beloved characters, will debut in 2022.
Although our Disney Live Entertainment team is still in the early stages of development for the show, the musical retelling of this underwater tale of family, friendship and kindness will feature new story material, as well as fan favorite songs such as “In the Big Blue World” and “Go with the Flow.”
This newly reimagined show will be called Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond. Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond picks up after Finding Dory and is told through the eyes of the “Tank Gang.” The show features many of the same amazing songs, and amazing puppetry we have come to love about the original show.
We also know we will see many characters from the film that we know and love, like Crush, Dory, and of course, Nemo.

Debut Date
According to Disney, the new show will debut on June 13, 2022! In the video posted to TikTok, you can “sea” the new stage, screen, and performers.
Genie+ Offered
Not only do we have news about when the show debuts, but it will also be part of Genie+! Beginning June 13, Guests who have purchased Genie+ can get preferred seating in the theater at Animal Kingdom.
Disney will offer Genie+ Lightning Lanes for Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond when it debuts on June 13.
