Your Disney resort stay is about to get a lot more magical with this new partnership. Last September, we shared that Disney and Amazon were partnering together. This new venture will be called, “Hey Disney.” For the first time, instead of asking Alexa to do something, you can ask Disney to do it!
This will be available for Guests to enjoy Echo Show 5 in their rooms in their Disney Resort room. The magic is not simply limited to the Walt Disney World Resorts. There will also be an in-home offering for “Hey Disney” as well.

Have you ever been on vacation and wished that you could simply ask what time the next Disney bus would arrive and instantly receive an answer? Very soon you will be able to use the “Hey Disney” device in your Disney Resort room to do just that. Other cool features include: “helpful information about your vacation, order room amenities, and more. Wondering when the next bus to EPCOT leaves or need to request more towels for your room?”
“Using Alexa technology for supported Amazon Echo devices, you’ll be able to ask all the useful questions – weather forecasts, set timers and alarms, etc. – and get answers from more than 25 popular characters including Mickey Mouse, Olaf, Rocket, and Groot, Princess Tiana and many more.”
We currently do not have an arrival date for “Hey Disney!”, but we do know that they should arrive in Disney Resort hotel guest rooms across Walt Disney World later this year as part of the 50th-anniversary celebration. Use of “Hey Disney!” will be completely optional for resort guests.
What is really cool is that Disney has shared that the brand new MagicBand+ will work with “Hey Disney!”. The MagicBand+ will sync with supported Amazon Echo devices to enhance some “Hey Disney!” experiences.

You can also bring home “Hey Disney!” to your home as well. Disney fans will soon be able to purchase supported Amazon Echo devices via the Amazon Alexa Skills store, inviting Disney fans to make every day at home more magical. In the future, MagicBand+ will work with “Hey Disney!” by pairing with supported Amazon Echo devices to enhance some “Hey Disney!” experiences. More details will be released soon.
