February is starting out as a great month at Walt Disney World. Check out all of the great offerings that will be a part of the Soulful Celebration this year in honor of Black History Month.
Soulful Celebrations at EPCOT
Guests visiting EPCOT during the month of February are in for a treat. Located in the American Pavilion, Guests can enjoy “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure” exhibit. In the exhibit, Guests get a musical tour of North America, including stops in New Orleans, New York City, San Juan, and more. Disney is actively working with jazz museums across the nation to make this exhibit a possibility.
Guests can enjoy “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure” exhibit for the month of February at the American Pavilion in EPCOT.
After debuting at EPCOT last year, this exhibit made a national tour before returning to the American Pavilion this year. Be sure to check out this review of the Soul of Jazz Exhibit from 2021.
Disney Springs Entertainment
Disney Springs will offer FREE entertainment featuring Motown, pop, jazz, and R&B. This is a great way to spend the day when not in the Disney Parks. Guests visiting Disney Springs can also enjoy new murals and art displays featuring Disney stars from Soul and The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder.
Artists will also be highlighted during this Soulful Celebration. Inside Art of Disney, Guests will learn more about the featured art of Floyd Norman, Bruce Smith, Carole Holliday and others. This will include many of the Disney animators that have helped on such films as “The Jungle Book”, “The Proud Family” and many other films as well.
While at Disney Springs, many of the Disney-owned locations will offer merchandise featuring characters from “Soul,” “Princess at the Frog” and “Black Panther.”
Bowes Signature Candles was founded by Jamaica native Dave Bowes. During the month of February, special discounts will be offered for candle making. At Disney Springs, Bowes Signature Candles can be found inside Marketplace Co-Op and Disney’s Days of Christmas.
Only in February, Guests may find Bowes Candles on the porch of the Discovery Trading Co. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Special Food Offerings
Guests can also enjoy great food at Disney Springs, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. At Disney Springs, The Ganachery will offer Soulfully Sweet Pralines inspired by Joe Gardner from Disney and Pixar’s “Soul.”
In EPCOT, be sure to check out the Half Note Float at Fife & Drum. This drink is full of rich layers of Fanta Strawberry, Minute Maid Lemonade, Fanta Blue Raspberry Slushy and vanilla ice cream. This drink is named in honor of the jazz club featured in Disney-Pixar’s “Soul.”
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Guests can enjoy the Celebrate Soulfully Cupcake. This colorful cupcake is inspired by “Soul” and is available at Creature Comforts Coffee Shop, Flame Tree Barbecue and Restaurantosaurus.
Disney Resorts
Disney Resorts will continue this Soulful Celebration at the Movie Under the Stars. During February the following films will be featured: “Soul”, “Remember the Titans”, and more. This is a FREE event for Resort Guests. Be sure to check out the full list of Resort entertainment offerings when you check into your Resort.
