The Incredibly Popular Young Cruella will Return in a Sequel

Cruella’s Release Date

On May 28, 2021, Disney released Cruella in both theaters on on Disney+ Premier Access. Not everyone loves seeing movies at the theater, and it’s so nice to have options.

My daughter and I (Susan) chose to pay the $29.99 Premier Access fee and watch it from the comfort of our home. It’s not a rental, but rather advance access so you can watch it as often as you like with Premier Access.

Cruella

Starring Emma Stone, the film gives viewers a glimpse into Cruella’s childhood and early adulthood that made her turn into the villain, Cruella de Vil. I’m not usually a huge fan of live action Disney movies, but I loved this one!

Disney’s storyline and casting are top notch with this live action movie. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Emma Stone wins another Academy Award with her performance. She was simply amazing!! In case you haven’t seen Cruella yet, check out the trailer here.

Who is Returning in the Sequel?

The original movie’s director, Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Tony McNamara will be returning in their roles, according to Deadline. Also, Emma Stone has signed a deal to return as star in the Cruella sequel! Yay! The movie really wouldn’t be Cruella without her fabulous portrayal of this villain that we love so much.

It’s evident by the announcement of a sequel that the original Cruella was a smash hit! We’ll announce more details, including a release date and trailer as soon as Disney releases them. With the director and star returning, I cannot wait!
