Recently we shared the release dates for many great new series and films coming to Disney+ this summer. Many of these premiere dates have changed and the reason may surprise you.
Loki Starts a Trend
If you are a Marvel fan, you were probably excited to watch the new series Loki last week. The new series features the villain we love to hate, Loki. It stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Check out the new trailer for this series HERE.
This highly anticipated series, Loki premiered on Wednesday, June 9th. Disney CEO, Bob Chapek, shared that “Loki” boasted the highest premiere ratings for Disney+. Due to the overwhelmingly popular response to this hit new show, Disney+ is doing a bit of restructuring coming to the July line-up.

The changes that have occurred to the July lineup on Disney+ do not affect the premiere date for Black Widow on July 9th or for Jungle Cruise set to premiere on July 30th. Fans will still be able to enjoy this film through premier access on Disney+ for an additional fee on the original premiere dates.
