Raya and the Last Dragon
Disney’s hotly anticipated CGI film Raya and the Last Dragon is coming your way soon. The premise of the film is that long ago an evil force stirred in the realm of imagined land Kumandra, threatening humanity. As a result, the world’s dragons sacrificed themselves in the name of saving mankind.
Now, the evil has reappeared. Unable to sit idly by, Raya, Disney’s newest princess, sets off on a quest to locate the world’s last dragon in hopes of eradicating the evil once and for all.
Exclusive Sneak Peek
Now, Disney has an exclusive sneak peek of the film. Get excited, it’s a good one. It includes a scene introducing one of the film’s quirky characters.
It also provides behind the scenes footage of the making of the film. It goes into specific detail revolving around the weaponry and martial arts sequences.

Thanks to Disney Parks Blog for providing fans with this amazing scene and a little piece of the story of how the magic was made. I don’t know about you, but I love a behind the scenes look at what it takes to bring a CGI film to life.
The footage gives me the same feelings I had as I watching Into the Unknown: Making Frozen II. To me the behind the scenes look adds to the magic rather than demystifying it. Suffice to say I am now even more eager to see this film.
Film Debut
Raya and the Last Dragon was initially slated for a March 12th theatrical release. However, Disney has since announced that the film will be released to theaters on March 5th and it will also be simultaneously available on Disney+ through Premier Access for an additional fee.
I did not pay for premier access for the live action Mulan when it debuted; however, I am tempted to pony up for Raya and the Last Dragon. Perhaps I can remain patient for it to become available to all Disney+ subscribers on June 4, 2021.
