NEWS: Magic Kingdom Announces Dates and Details for Halloween Celebration!

It’s almost September, which means it’s almost Halloween and pumpkin spice season!

Get into the spirit during your upcoming Disney World vacation! I know many of us were concerned that the fun would be called off since Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party was canceled.

Never fear! Magic Kingdom will be decked out fo the spooky season, and there will be lots to celebrate!

Dates, Details, and More

Fall decor and other “seasonal” offerings will be available at the Magic Kingdom for Halloween. Those Mickey wreaths will line Main Street U.S.A. lamposts, and surely we can expect some sweet and spooky treats.

The Disney World cavalcades are “mini pop up parades” and offer such a unique opportunity to see Disney characters.

According to Disney Parks Blog, “a special Halloween-themed cavalcade with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and pals wearing their favorite Halloween costumes. You may even spot those rascally chipmunks, Chip ‘n’ Dale, in costume over in Frontierland, and look for other Disney character friends dressed up and riding the horse-drawn trolley down Main Street, U.S.A.”

Also, for the first time in forever, Guests of all ages can dress up in costumes!

Wear your funniest, Disney-ist, most creative costumes during Magic Kingdom Park regular operating hours from Sept. 15 to Oct. 31. As an important reminder, costume masks are not permitted for adults; only children younger than 14 years old are permitted to wear costume masks. In addition, all guests are required to wear approved face coverings during their visit.

Yes, did you catch the date in there? The festivities will begin on September 15 and conclude on Halloween night – October 31!

doesn't the park still close early... as in, it won't really be dark?

Correct, it will officially close before dark, but they let you hang around the park after closing time.
