Update: Star Wars Galaxy Edge Experiences Opening Soon

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

All aboard the “Good News Express!” This morning has started with great news of Cast Members returning to the Disney World Parks and an opening date for Splitsville. We are also excited to announce that select dining and Guest experiences, which were previously taken of the list, will be available very soon at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Find out more about what will be available and when reservations will be available.

Oga’s Cantina

We first reported that Oga’s Cantina would be one of the select dining experiences to reopen on July 15th at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios.

This past week a change was made, and it appeared that this dining location would remain closed.

Many Guests speculated that this was due to the tight seating arrangements inside the cantina. Today, Oga’s Cantina is once again listed as available on reopening day for Hollywood Studios on July 15th.

We also believed the closure may have been due to the fact that Florida banned consumption of alcohol on premises in bars.

Honestly, we don’t really know what to make of the news that Oga’s will be open again.

Droid Depot

Star Wars fans will be excited to hear that the Droid Depot will also be available on July 15th for reopening day. Guests both young and the young at heart love the interactive experience of the Droid Depot.

They are able to customize their own droid with a wide selection of parts, chips, manuals, and other tech items. This makes a one of a kind souvenir that can be enjoyed long after your vacation.

Select Guests may make reservations for the Droid Depot as well as other special Guest experiences and dining reservations. The Disney World website shares “Beginning June 30, Guests who had an active experience reservations between May 28-September 2, 2020 that was cancelled as of May 28 due to our temporary closure can ben to make a new experience reservation by calling 407-939-6690.”

Guests with previous cancelled experience reservations and dining reservations may now make reservations by calling 407-939-6690
