Suprising Operating Hours for Hollywood Studios Newest Attraction

We are pretty shocked by the new operating hours posted at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Will this affect your touring plans?

In the wise words of Walt Disney, the Disney Parks will continue to be reimagined as long as there is imagination left in the world. However, the current state of Disney's Hollywood Studios does not match the initial concept for this 3rd Theme Park at Walt Disney World.

This past May, Disney's Hollywood Studios reopened a new land, "Magic of Disney Animation". While part of this land has opened, the remaining attractions will open in phases.

There will be so much to do and explore in this newly reimagined space. The best part is that this space is a nod to the original Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Burbank, California. Finally, there is a connection to the "Old Hollywood" inspiration for this Park.

Disney's Hollywood Studios will finally receive a playground once again after the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure was removed. Disney describes Drawn to Wonderland as "Watch your little ones let their imaginations go wild at Drawn to Wonderland. See them explore a playground inspired by Mary Blair's brilliant concept art for Alice in Wonderland."

Get your Disney autograph books ready for Off the Page. "Pan over to a stunning area where you can meet some of your favorite Disney animated friends. At Off the Page!, you will step into different spaces-each highlighting a specific part of the animation process and offering incredible photo opportunities with a popular Disney Character."

Finally, roll up your sleeves and prepare to step into the role of a Disney animator at Olaf Draws. "Learn how to sketch beloved Disney characters at Olaf Draws. Fellow animator-in-training Olaf is there to help you seek out renowned artists behind some of your favorite Disney animated movies. Together, you can learn tricks of the trade as you use pencil and paper to create a Disney animated character."

Magic of Disney Animation Opening

Disney has now announced that "Drawn to Wonderland", "Off the Page!", "Olaf Draws!" and "Once Upon a Studio Theater" will all open on September 14, 2026.

Disappointingly, the hours will shift beginning September 28 until the unforeseeable future to 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Disney has now posted operating hours for The Magic of Disney Animation. For the initial opening from September 14 through 17, it will be open from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm. Then, on September 18 and 19, it will be open from 8:30 am until 9:00 pm. From September 20 through September 27, operating hours shift back to 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Disappointingly, the hours will shift beginning September 28 until the unforeseeable future to 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. It is possible that these hours could be extended, but if not, this is pretty disappointing for Guests hoping to enjoy this new experience.
