Something Is Now Missing Aboard Disney's PeopleMover
Your favorite ride above Tomorrowland is now a bit different. Find out what is missing and how long this change will take place.
Tomorrowland PeopleMover
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is one of our favorite attractions. For a few moments, you can sit back and relax and take in the sights of Tomorrowland. There are even moments where you can see inside Space Mountain.
Since this attraction continuously runs, you can often enjoy this without too much of a wait. One of the best changes to this attraction was a change to the entrance that helps make enjoying this attraction even easier.
This helps keep the line moving more efficiently for Guests.
PeopleMover Change
This 10-minute ride allows guests to go behind the scenes of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, hear squeals as you zip through Space Mountain, and even check out the Star Traders gift shop.
Guests enjoy a guided narration of different key locations throughout Tomorrowland, as they enjoy the peaceful journey.
Now, one part of this narration is missing for the Carousel of Progress. There is a long silence as Guests pass by this show building that is now surrounded by construction walls. We expect this change will continue throughout this extended refurbishment.
Carousel of Progress Changes
Last August, Disney Imagineers shared plans to bring a Walt Disney animatronic to this attraction. This will not be the only change to this attraction. Carousel of Progress will soon feature new decades.
Carousel of Progress is now removed from the PeopleMover narration.
To prepare for the next version of this ever-progressing attraction, the Carousel of Progress will be temporarily unavailable beginning July 6, 2026. We expect the attraction to reopen in 2027.
