Without warning, Magic Kingdom altered several Magic Kingdom entertainment options. Find out which shows have been affected
Disney World Travel Warnings

Walt Disney World issues many warnings throughout the year to help keep Guests and Cast Members safe.
With a Theme Park located in Central Florida, most often the warnings we think of first are regarding hurricanes and tropical storms.
A third concern also affects a Florida Theme Park, and that is extreme heat. Many guests are well aware that the summers at Walt Disney World can be hot. This may be why summer is the cheapest time to visit Walt Disney World.
Disney World Heat Advisory

Earlier this week, the National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for all East Central Florida counties, which includes the Walt Disney World Resort.
Dangerous heat is expected with temperatures in the mid to upper 90's, but this will feel like 106° to 109°. The National Weather Service ranked this week as a Level 3 Major Heat Risk. You can check out our listing of 10 Great Ways to Beat the Heat HERE.
Walt Disney World has made a few changes to help keep Cast Members and our favorite Disney characters safe during this summer heat.
Magic Kingdom Alters Entertainment

Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire was cut from the original 20-minute running time to just 8 minutes. This shortened show occurred at 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 2:00 pm, and 4:10 pm.
Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire was shortened to just 8 minutes due to extreme heat.
We have also noticed changes on the Adventure Friends Cavalcade, where princesses and face characters will walk while the furry characters ride aboard the floats.

For both today, July 3rd, and tomorrow, July 4th, Adventure Friends Cavalcade only offers evening showtimes at 5:10 pm and 6:25 pm. This could be due to heavy holiday crowds or extreme heat.
Adventure Friends Cavalcade shifts back to morning showtimes at 10:30 am and 11:45 am on Sunday, July 5th (subject to change).
