Fire Closes Disney World's PeopleMover Attraction

PeopleMover Fire

We have seen several fire alerts over the past few weeks, and many are handled quickly and oftentimes are backstage. Most of these emergency events go unnoticed by Guests.
Walt Disney Active Calls reported a fire alert at Magic Kingdom yesterday, June 10, 2026, at 12:38 pm.
The timing of this call coincided with a video shared by @roycesclips on TikTok showing a fire beneath the PeopleMover attraction.
PeopleMover Closure

Thankfully, Cast Members sprang into action. The Tomorrowland's Transit Authority PeopleMover closed immediately and reopened later in the day. As of today, June 10, 2026, the PeopleMover has remained open all day.
