My (Kate's) family and I were so excited to try the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich. We love cookie dough, brownies, and ice cream, so it sounded like a winner. It is huge, so we were able to split it so that everyone could weigh in.
Ultimately, we all unanimously agreed that it was fine, but not memorable, and not something we will be craving. The cookie dough is the best part, but overall, there is just not enough contrast between the flavors of the ice cream, cookie dough, and brownie. It all just tastes sweet, in a one-note sort of way.
For my particular family, we are glad we tried it, but it is not worth the time or money to try it again. Disney just has too many AMAZING desserts to choose this dessert over superior options.
We will probably skip the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich in the future.
It could be worth trying once if you have time to wait in line and love trying sweets. It isn't bad by any means, it just isn't the greatest either. If you are going to try it, and multiple people in your group want a bite, I would suggest splitting one unless you realllllly love sweets and you like ice cream sandwiches where it all tastes sort of the same instead of having 3 distinct layers of flavor. We saw several people throwing away half because they were unable to finish.
