EPCOT can be filled with seasonal snacks during the various festivals that come and go throughout the year. Some of these can be under $5. However, some of the BEST, most affordable options are avaliable on year-long menus.
One of Epcot's Cheapest Snacks
One of Epcot's most affordable snacks also happens to be quite satisfying. This is especially true if you are craving ice cream on a hot day and don't want anything heavy.
The wafer ice cream sandwich is a surprisingly light ice cream treat. It comes in several flavors: Vanilla, Strawberry, Matcha, and Sweet Potato!
The ice cream is covered in a thin chocolate coating and wrapped up in a wafer. It is a much lighter alternative to a traditional ice cream sandwich. Here is a look at the inside, too!
My family has tried all of the flavors, except Sweet Potato, which is on the wish list. I can confirm it is pretty tasty. In fact, this snack is on one of my children's must-eat lists.
Best of all, it is easy on the wallet. It costs only $3.99! This makes it one of the best values in Walt Disney World if you are paying for your snacks out of pocket. A standard Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich costs around $6.49 right now, so this is a great savings swap, especially if you are taking a big family for ice cream.
Where to Find The Epcot Ice Cream Sandwich
The wafer ice cream sandwich is an authentic Japanese dessert. The only place in Walt Disney World where you can find it is EPCOT's Japan Pavilion in World Showcase.
Head to the Japan Pavilion to enjoy this treat.
Simply head into Mitsukoshi Department in Japan. The Wafer Ice Cream Sandwiches are housed in a freezer behind the cash register in the room with the snacks, so you can purchase them when you are finished looking at all the cool merch. A Cast Member will assist you with your purchase.
They are not avaliable for mobile order or eligible for discounts. However, there are very few snacks you will find for less.
