It is not completely uncommon for attractions to experience malfunctions, breakdowns, or evacuations at Disney World.
Technology is a wonderful thing when it's working and a giant pain when it's not. We are looking at you, Rise of the Resistance.
The Disney Parks utilize cutting-edge technology. At its best, guests are left mesmerized and feel immersed in their favorite stories. At its worst, rides temporarily close, and sometimes guests can see the malfunctions in person.
Rapunzel Attacked

We thought that we had seen it all with animatronic malfunctions, but then this happened at Tokyo DisneySea's Fantasy Springs.
Tokyo DisneySea's Fantasy Springs has a beautiful Rapunzel tower located at the Rapunzel's Lantern Festival attraction. Guests can even spy favorite frying pan-flinging princess in the window.
The other day, Guests witnessed several crows attacking Rapunzel's golden hair. In just a little time, they had completely destroyed Rapunzel's beautiful hair.

Rapunzel Removed from the Park

Guests suspect that the crows may have gathered the hair to create a nest. Disney has since removed the Rapunzel animatronic from her tower to repair this damage.
The Rapunzel animatronic is now removed from the Rapunzel's Lantern Festival attraction.
Disney has not announced when the Rapunzel animatronic will return to this attraction.
