One thing that is really cool about the Disney Parks is that they are constantly refreshing. With the addition of many new film franchises, the Walt Disney Company now has a far reach in the entertainment industry.

Disney Imagineers also reimagined some of our favorite attractions. For example, big changes were announced for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

Imagineers created new vehicles that feature handheld blasters and video monitors with real-time scoring (unlimited high scores!). This did bring additional changes for scoring Galactic Hero aboard this attraction.

Disney announced that Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin will reopen on April 8, 2026. After a positive Cast Member Preview, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin started a soft opening on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Walt Disney World has opened many attractions and dining locations early as a soft opening for Guests, most recently for EPCOT's Frozen Ever After.

With this being a soft opening, the attraction may not offer consistent operating hours. This attraction is still unavailable for Lightning Lane selections during this soft opening.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin Wait Times

From Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin did not post wait times on the My Disney Experience app.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin now lists wait times on the My Disney Experience app.

This is customary with a soft opening, as the attraction could close unexpectedly. Today, April 2, 2026, wait times are now listed for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin on the My Disney Experience app. This is a positive sign that the attraction may be fully operational.
