Shopkick Closes with No Warning for Customers

Shopkick is a reward program that allows customers to earn points through shopping. The shopping rewards app that pays you to scan items, upload receipts, watch videos, and shop online or in-store.

Users earn points and then they can redeem them in the shop. Many Disney parks goers love using Shopkick because Disney gift cards are one of the reward options.

Disney gift cards can be used for tickets or hotel stays and at most shopping and dining locations in Walt Disney World and Disneyland. They can also be used on Disney Cruise Line, at the Disney Store, and at Disney properties such as Aulani.

Shopkick is Closed

Unfortunately, on March 27, 2026, Shopkick users found an unpleasant surprise. People were suddenly unable to use the website or the app. Some users can get the app to open, but none of the functionality, such as earning kicks or redeeming rewards, remains operational at this time.

At first, it seemed as if there were a glitch in the system. However, it is no glitch. Shopkick is closed.

It allegedly closed without any warning to employees or consumers. This has to be a huge disappointment, especially for users who had saved up enough kicks for a large reward and simply have been delaying redemption.
