Why stay at a Walt Disney World Resort?
Staying at a Disney Resort offers many great amenities, including transportation, early theme park entry, and proximity to the parks. Disney offers a variety of resort options to best fit each guest's needs and price points. These include value resorts, moderate resorts, and deluxe resorts.
There are five value resorts at Disney World, and three of those are the All-Star Resorts: All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, and All-Star Sports. Like the term "value" implies, All-Star resorts rely heavily on cost and theme.
Value resorts are the cheapest of the Disney World resorts, so if you are visiting Disney on a tight budget, you will want to start by pricing out the value resorts. The price of value resorts also makes these a great option for traveling school groups.
Disney's All-Star Movies Warning
Disney has confirmed another refurbishment at one of their resorts. This time, it is at Disney's All-Star Movies resort.
Disney now alerts Guests that beginning late May 2026, Disney's All-Star Movies will begin a lengthy room refurbishment. Disney warns that Guests may see and/or hear construction during the day.
Disney does try to keep areas as clear as possible during refurbishments; however this may create a noticeable problem for Guests hoping to stay at Disney's All-Star Movies.
How will this affect your Disney trip?
Disney will complete this refurbishment in phases, blocking off select groups of rooms at a time. This will reduce the number of rooms available for Guests to book.
