Disney Store Issues New Limits for Popular Disney Pins
The Disney Store just made several big changes that will affect how you purchase Disney Pins in the future.
Disney Pins

Pintastic Tuesday is a phenomenon that began not too long ago at Disney Parks and Disney Store (both retail locations and online) in the pin trading world. It is a day when collectors can attempt to acquire limited edition Disney Pins!
Sometimes Disney announces which pins will be dropping on specific Tuesdays throughout the year by releasing flyers with illustrations and dates, and other details.
Other times, the pin drops are a bit of a surprise! Likewise, some of the pins are online exclusives, and some are only released in either Walt Disney World or Disneyland.
Pin-Drop Tuesday

Due to the popularity of Pin-Drop Tuesday, Disney has implemented several changes over the past several months. Back in December, Disney imposed a purchase limit of one of each pin per person, even for Open Edition Pins and Mystery Boxes!
Previously, shoppers could purchase 2 of each design. Many speculate that this change is in response to complaints that resellers purchase many of the pins, leaving collectors to the mercy of the secondary market.
Today, the Disney Store issued a new update for Pin-Drop Tuesday via email.
New Disney Pin Procedure

Today, Disney shares, "Disney Store has seen growing interest in Disney pins over the past year, and we truly appreciate the passion and enthusiasm of the pin community.
"We continue to evaluate and strengthen these protections, and additional enhancements will be introduced as we refine the experience."
We've also heard your feedback around availability, and we want to reassure you that we're actively working to make the shopping experience better and more equitable for Guests.

You may have seen changes with recent pin launches as we have already implemented several safeguards to help protect inventory and promote equitable access during high-demand moments.
These include a combination of account-based requirements, enhanced security features, and ongoing monitoring to help manage traffic and reduce misuse."
