Frustrating Change for Disney World Dining Reservations
Disney just changed Advanced Dining Reservations and this seems like a big step backward. What do you think of this change?

Disney has made several changes to make Advanced Dining Reservations over the years. Some changes we love, while others leave us wondering why Disney just made a new change.
Most recently, Disney made a change for noting allergies. Previously, when Guests made their Advanced Dining Reservations, they were given the option to share food allergies and food intolerances. Now this option is omitted when making an advanced dining reservation.

Dining Reservation Changes

One of the best advanced dining reservation updates for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland allowed guests to use a similar calendar as used to make Theme Park reservations to allow guests to check dining availability over multiple days.
This was a great change, but soon this flopped when a huge technical glitch resulted once Beak and Barrel dining reservations were available last summer.
As Disney prepared to open Advanced Dining Reservations again, they made a BIG change. When guests attempted to make an Advanced Dining Reservation on the app, they were redirected to the Walt Disney World website.

This morning, the Garden View Lounge Advanced Dining Reservations opened. It appears that Disney prepared for high interest by once again redirecting guests to the Walt Disney World website.

This seemingly small change creates big headaches for guests hoping to make their Advanced Dining Reservations this morning. We hope that this will return to normal just as it did last summer.
