Three Surprising Changes at Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom has several big projects taking place. See the three new changes that we spotted in the Park.
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

There are many projects taking place at the Magic Kingdom. In Tomorrowland, we noticed that all of the signage has been removed from Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
A construction wall surrounds the entrance to this attraction. On a journey aboard the PeopleMover, we noticed the concrete has been removed from the entrance of this attraction.
New concrete was poured as Disney prepares to reopen this attraction "Spring 2026".
Cinderella Castle Repainting

Last August, Disney shared that the castle will return to the classic grays, creams, and blues reminiscent of its classic look, complete with touches of gold!
Work is well underway for this transformation. On a recent trip to the Magic Kingdom, we noticed the draining of the moat surrounding Cinderella Castle.
This refurbishment brings changes to Magic Kingdom entertainment. While a large crane will be present for this work, Disney shares that cranes will be out of sight by noon each day.
Haunted Mansion Refurbishment

The largest expansion is taking place along the former Rivers of America and beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for Villains Land. This expansion brought construction walls along the outdoor queue for the Haunted Mansion.
Haunted Mansion is now covered in scrim as Imagineers "install set elements".
Disney Imagineers filed a permit to "install set elements". It appears that this may be the cause for the scrim now covering the front of the Haunted Mansion attraction.
