Surprising Disney World Pop Up Notification
Walt Disney World relies heavily on the My Disney Experience app to share updates with Guests and to make Park planning easier. This new pop up notification is a great new update.
My Disney Experience App
It is hard to visit Walt Disney World without using Disney's app. After all, it has everything you need to enjoy a magical vacation! From making dining reservations to ordering food and making Lightning Lanes reservations, and to check current wait times.
Like all apps, it receives regular updates to improve the overall guest experience. Sometimes the updates are great and well received, while others either seem not to make much of a difference at all or leave some just plain frustrated.
It is always a good idea to make sure your My Disney Experience app is updated before your next Disney vacation.
Disney Resort MagicBand+
Disney has worked over the years to make accessing your Disney Resort room even easier. Of course, those guests who prefer to use a traditional hotel key will still be available at the Front Desk.
Have you ever done Online check-in, arrived at your room, and your MagicBand or MagicBand+ did not work to open your door? This is very frustrating, as sometimes you will need to take a long walk back to the main lobby to reset your MagicBand/MagicBand+.

Disney Digital Key Notification
For several years, both Walt Disney World and Disneyland have offered the Digital Key feature in the My Disney Experience app that allows Guests to unlock their resort room by tapping the "Unlock Door" button and then hold your mobile device against the door lock.
Digital Key is now offered as a pop-up notification on the My Disney Experience app.
This has been a great feature, but it required navigating through the My Disney Experience app. Now, a new pop-up notification allows Guests to easily use their mobile device to unlock their resort room. We love how easy this is now!
