Our once-perfect Walt Disney World is about to get a villainous makeover. This past summer at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Sunset Boulevard was transformed for a new villains' show.

Villains Land will be located at Disney's Magic Kingdom as part of the "Beyond Big Thunder" expansion.

There will be 2 attractions, dining, shopping, and more. Work began this year for this new expansion. Be sure to check out the full villainous lineup HERE.

Disney Imagineering has been at work researching and finding just the right details to incorporate into the land's architecture. You can see full details of these plans HERE.

Recently, Disney Imagineers shared why they are particularly excited to work on this big new expansion.

According to an interview in the Wall Street Journal, "Though it [Villains Land] will feature characters from 'Snow White', 'Peter Pan', and 'Aladdin', it's not based on a specific film. That makes it the closest thing to an original land in Disney's U.S. Parks in 25 years."

Over the years, many Disney fans have grown bored with Disney Parks simply replicating popular films and story lines across the Disney Parks.

Many felt this when Frozen Ever After replaced the Maelstrom attraction in Norway, and when Tiana's Bayou Adventure replaced Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

Villains Land may actually bring back the Disney magic that many of us have been missing with unique storytelling and unique theming.
