There are many things to consider when planning your trip to Walt Disney World. From rainstorms to hurricane planning, Florida weather can put a few wrinkles in even the best-laid travel plans.

With a park located in Central Florida, Walt Disney World tries to update guests on weather advisories as quickly as possible.

One of the most important things to remember when planning your Walt Disney World trip is ensuring every member of your traveling party is happy and healthy. There is nothing worse than not being prepared and being miserable due to weather complications.

Central Florida is often affected by heat advisories, but at times, even cold weather can affect Walt Disney World.

Disney reserves the right to change operating hours without notice. As Orlando prepares for cooler temperatures next week, Typhoon Lagoon will be closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (January 12-14, 2026).

At this time, Typhoon Lagoon is set to reopen on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Currently, Blizzard Beach is closed. For 2025 packages, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel could enjoy admission to one of the water parks on check-in day!

We had hopes that this would continue into 2026. Thankfully, it was not completely removed, but rather modified to only be offered for guests during the Summer of 2026. Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open during this time.
