Zootopia 2 Breaks a Major Box Office Record
Zootopia 2 is in theatres right now, and it is one hot ticket. In fact, this film is so hot that it melted a Disney record.
Zootopoia 2 Is a Hit

Zootopia 2 is in theaters, and it is taking the world by storm. It probably comes as little surprise to most people that the movie is a hit.
After all, the original was popular enough to become a $1 billion hit. And, Zootopia 2 has passed the $1 billion mark. In fact, the Zootopia sequel has amassed over $1.46 billion so far.
Zootopia 2 is the second Disney-owned film to cross the $1 billion mark this year. The live-action Lilo and Stitch was the first to achieve this milestone for 2025 earlier this year.
A Huge Record

Not only has Zootopia 2 crossed the $1 billion mark, but it has also melted away a record that has been frozen in Disney history for about 6 years. Zootopia 2 is now the highest-grossing Walt Disney Animation title of all time.
Prior to the release of Zootopia 2, Frozen 2 reigned as the highest-grossing Walt Disney Animation title of all time. Frozen 2 earned 1.45 billion and broke the record that its predecessor Frozen set in 2013.
Are More Record-Breaking Moments Coming?

Of course, it is not the highest-grossing Disney-owned animated film. Inside Out 2 from Disney and Pixar holds the title for the highest-grossing Disney animated film (for now). But perhaps Zootopia 2 can catch it.
Will Zootopia 2 break more records?
Right now, Zootopia 2 is #7 of all-time for any Disney-owned film. And it is #14 for all-time earnings so far.
