Our once-perfect Walt Disney World is about to get a villainous makeover. This past summer at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Sunset Boulevard was transformed for a new villains' show.
Villains Land will be located at Disney's Magic Kingdom as part of the "Beyond Big Thunder" expansion.

Disney Imagineering has been at work researching and finding just the right details to incorporate into the land's architecture. You can see full details of these plans HERE.
As with any project, permits must be filed, and today, the permit for 407 Basin Stormwater Modifications is approved. This is for the changes to be made at Frontierland and the Villains Land expansion.
Large teams helped to clear the land to prepare for this huge expansion.
Villains Land Closure

This expansion will now close the Floridian Way Road. Starting tomorrow, December 17, 2025, this road running behind Magic Kingdom will be closed.
Floridian Way Road will close on December 17, 2025.
We have heard rumors that the Floridian Way Road may not reopen even after this expansion. This greatly affects Cast Members at Magic Kingdom. This also signals that work is well underway for Villains Land.
