New Experience Aboard Rock 'n' Roller Coaster

Just when we thought it was the final countdown for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Disney just added a new experience for guests.

Last November, Walt Disney World confirmed a Muppets re-theme of the popular attraction. Many wondered what this new overlay would look like and Disney has provided a few sneak peeks.

For this big change from Aerosmith to the Muppets, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster will officially close on March 2, 2026.

This means the final day to enjoy this attraction will be March 1, 2026. We already suspect BIG crowds to enjoy this attraction during this final day of operations.

The new Muppet re-theme is also expected to open in 2026. Disney is not known for completing projects at a speedy pace.

Many questioned how a complete re-theme could take place for this attraction within the same calendar year.

The answer is an unannounced phased closure for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Currently, the pre-show is non-operational, and guests are simply escorted straight to the queue for their super-stretch limo.

Disney has added a great commemorative feature on all attraction photos for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. On my (Donna) recent ride, I noticed a new "2025 Exclusive" overlay added to the attraction photo.

This is such a fun souvenir to remember this iconic attraction before it closes. Disney also has a similar overlay for the DINOSAUR attraction that will be closing soon.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Donna loved Disney from an early age. As a child, her family would joke that she lived in "Donna Land." As an adult, she enjoys planning and creating magical vacations for her family at the Disney Parks.
