New Overlay for Animal Kingdom's DINOSAUR Attraction
Just when we thought that DINOSAUR was about to become extinct, Disney just revelaed a fun overlay. You don't want to miss this last change to "Catch That Dino".
DinoLand Becoming Extinct

DinoLand is about to become extinct at Disney's Animal Kingdom. An entire new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can't wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!
Earlier this month, we shared that Disney's Animal Kingdom looks much different with the closing of The Boneyard. This makes it much more difficult to enjoy the DINOSAUR attraction. Check out these new changes HERE.
Large cranes are now present at DinoLand, USA, and the Encanto attraction is taking a big step forward to bring new dialogue to this new land.
DINOSAUR Closing

Earlier, Disney shared that the last day for guests to enjoy DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom will be on February 1, 2026.
Beginning February 2, 2026, the last parts of DinoLand USA will officially close, including the DINOSAUR attraction and Restaurantosaurs dining location.
This HUGE closure will, in effect, send ripples throughout the rest of Disney's Animal Kingdom. With Restaurantosaurus closing, this will affect the current menu offered at the Harambe Market. See full details of these changes HERE.
New DINOSAUR Overlay

While Guests are aboard DINOSAUR, a photo is captured which, for several years, featured a frame as pictured above. Today, Disney PhotoPass shared that a new photo frame overlay will be featured for the final months of DINOSAUR.
DINOSAUR now offers a new photo frame overlay.
The photo frame overlay (pictured below) features a ferocious dinosaur, the year 2025, the caption "It's Fast! It's a Blast! It's in the Past!", along with a banner "You made it!". This is a really fun keepsake for those taking in this attraction for perhaps the last time.

While we love a fun overlay, it is a little disappointing that this was not offered earlier this year.
What do you think of this attraction overlay? Do you hope to "Go catch that dino" one more time before the attraction closes? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.

Sad this wasn't offered a few weeks ago. Oh well. I'm glad I was able to experience one last time.
