Two Big Steps Forward for the New Encanto Attraction
While Disney's Animal Kingdom is a bit of a mess right now, the first-ever Encanto attraction takes two exciting steps forward. Check out the current progress!
DinoLand Phased Closure

DinoLand is about to become extinct at Disney's Animal Kingdom. An entirely new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can't wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!
Disney announced a phased closure for DinoLand, and guests experienced big changes when The Boneyard officially closed on September 1, 2025. The following day, construction walls were erected and completely removed from both the map on the My Disney Experience app and the physical map available in the parks.
While Disney promised that 2025 would be your year to enjoy the DINOSAUR attraction, the pathway is now a winding maze. You can see the new path that Guests must use HERE.
Change to Animal Kingdom Sightline

One thing that Walt Disney disliked was distractions that entered the sightline of Disneyland. He wanted Guests to escape from the everyday concerns and be immersed in lands of magic, wonder, and adventure.
However, Walt Disney also never wanted Disneyland to be complete, which means all Disney Parks "Keep moving forward." This is, in fact, the current state of Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Last week, two big changes affected DinoLand, USA, and this week, another big change now affects Disney's Animal Kingdom sightline; a huge crane is now located behind Tropical Americas' construction walls.
Encanto Attraction Update

Along with the large crane to begin construction on this newly themed Encanto land comes another exciting update. Jared Bush, who co-directed and wrote Encanto, shares that he will be lending his talents to this first-ever Encanto attraction.
New dialogue is being created for the first-ever Encanto attraction
Jared Bush shared on social media, "Flying home from Europe and my plane homework will be writing new dialogue for...the Encanto attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which means new words for the magical, fantastical Familia Madrigal! You will not believe what the Imagineers are cooking up."
We love that new inspiration will come to this attraction and new dialogue as well. These two updates give us hope that "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow" for Disney's Animal Kingdom.
What do you hope the new Tropical Americas will offer? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.

Why does Encanto belong in animal kingdom. We need less of this crap and more educational attractions to teach people about wildlife and historic wildlife like Dinosaurs.
We don't need an imaginary South American land.
They have ruined Frontierland in Magic Kingdom and Disney is ruining Animal Kingdom.
The educational component is really what makes Disney's Animal Kingdom special. The closing of DinoLand seems like a step back from the original plan of the park.
