Disney+ debuted in 2019 and has seen many changes over the years. Subscribers delight when new features are added, but typically, new specials and added features come with price increases.

To help decrease the sticker shock from price increases in March 2022, we began hearing rumblings about a cheaper plan. The catch of course is that ads will be shown on these lower-priced tiers.

Disney shared that the new "cheaper plan" would include ad tiers. Many Disney fans did not like the idea of ads being added to their favorite Disney content, but the lure of a lower-priced Disney+ streaming plan enticed many. A Black Friday Early Access Deal has just been announced for Disney+. You can get Disney+ and Hulu for $4.99 per month for the first 12 months. After the first year, the plan will auto-renew at the rate of $12.99 per month.

Beginning December 1, 2025, some Apple users may no longer be able to access Disney+. Disney shared in an email "The Disney+ app will no longer be supported on your older Apple device."

The new Disney+ update is not compatible with older Apple devices.
