Surprising Weekend at Disney World

This weekend is a rather surprising one for guests visiting Walt Disney World. This was the official kickoff for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (on Friday) and Disney's Jollywood Nights (on Saturday).
Guests also enjoyed a surprise soft opening at the newest themed bar, The Perch, at Disney's Grand Floridian.
Magic Kingdom Holiday Filming
Earlier, we shared that holiday filming was suspected to take place at the Magic Kingdom this weekend, November 8th and 9th. This is now confirmed and makes several interesting operational changes.
First, there are no showtimes for the Festival of Fantasy Parade on these dates. Yesterday, November 8th, and today, November 9th, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will run at 2:00 pm.
This is a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party exclusive entertainment offering (until the final week of Christmas). Secondly, "Frozen Holiday Surprise" has also been canceled for these dates.
Villain Takeover Magic Kingdom
Yesterday, before the start of the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, several of our favorite Disney villains surprised guests with a villainous cavalcade.
Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will delight Magic Kingdom guests today.
