New FuelRods Kiosks Arrive at Disney World with Big Changes
FuelRods are a great way to charge your devices at Walt Disney World, but new kiosks bring BIG changes with a higher price tag. Find out about these new changes.
FuelRod at Disney Parks

FuelRods are portable device chargers that can be purchased inside and outside Disney parks. The unique aspect of FuelRods, however, is that these devices can either be recharged on your own or swapped for a fresh FuelRod via a kiosk.
Currently, all swaps at the Walt Disney World resort are free of charge! This is a HUGE perk and benefit for the use of FuelRods on your next trip!
It is important to note that the FuelRod kiosks are third-party owned and operated, so Disney cast members cannot troubleshoot them. For everything you need to know about FuelRods at Disney read HERE.
New FuelRod Max10 Version

In the summer of 2024, FuelRod kits received a new update with 23% more power capacity, an LED power indicator, a Faster USB-C connection, and a power on/off switch. This "New FuelRod Kit" option was similar in size and once cost $38 but now costs $40. This was a free swap for guests returning the older FuelRod version.
Now FuelRod is getting an even better upgrade with the Max10 version. This new version is a flat rectangle. This offers wireless charging, or you can also charge this with a cord.
The Max10 FuelRod is a high-capacity model with a 10,000mAh battery, which is 3 times than the newest FuelRod version.
Swapping out New Max10 FuelRod

Earlier this week, brand new FuelRod kiosks began to arrive at select locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. These new kiosks are a little larger and offer the standard FuelRod style, the new Max10 version, and also a longer green FuelRod cable (available at $20.)
The Max10 FuelRod is now available at select kiosks at Walt Disney World
Today, a friend of the blog was able to try out the new FuelRod kiosk. When they turned in the standard style FuelRod, they received the new Max10 version for free. The only downside is that they are still rolling out the new kiosks. You can only swap the new Max10 at compatible kiosks.
