Best Change For Disney World Restrooms

Disney fans plan for their favorite attractions and make the best dining reservations, but often, we overlook the many restrooms you will no doubt visit while at Walt Disney World. Now, a new change will make your next restroom stop even better!

Disney World Conservation Efforts

The Walt Disney Company is deeply concerned with worldwide conservation efforts. From protecting wildlife at Animal Kingdom to implementing paper straws and reusable bags, Disney strives to make our world a better place.

They have created a line of reusable travel utensils for those who wish to be more environmentally conscious during their visit to the parks.

It does not stop there, though. Disney continues to remind us to recycle as much as we can. Next to almost every trash can at Disney World, there is also a recycling can. Even compost cans are popping up around the parks.

Change from Hand Dryers

One more way that Walt Disney World aimed to reduce waste was by installing Dyson-brand hand dryers in the restrooms. These replaced many of the paper towel dispensers located in the restrooms.

On a recent trip, our own Kenny the Pirate writer KatieP noticed that many of the hand dryers were missing from the restrooms. These were replaced with additional paper towel dispensers.

Although there are still several hand dryers on the property, it appears that Disney may be making a change.

Disney World Bathroom Improvement

Many Disney Guests felt that the hand dryers made quite a mess in the restrooms and also took much longer for each guest to thoroughly dry their hands compared to using a paper towel.

It appears Walt Disney World is replacing hand dryers with paper towel dispensers.

This small change will also make a great improvement for the Cast Members tending to the restrooms. On several trips, it seemed that maintaining the restrooms with wet floors from the use of hand dryers was a never-ending task. We actually really like this change, and can only hope that the return of plastic straws will one day return as well.
