Magic Returns to Frontierland
Magic Kingdom's Frontierland is a mess right now, and earlier this week, the magic was definitely missing. We now have good news for you before your next visit to the Magic Kingdom.
Changes in Frontierland

While we love the vibe of Tiana's Bayou Adventure and the new pop-up musical ensemble known as Nola and the Eighth Notes, the overall theme of Frontierland seems a bit disconnected.
Another big change came when the former Frontierland Shootin' Arcade transformed into McKim's Mile House, a private lounge for Disney Vacation Club Members.
This leads to the removal of the Rivers of America, which removes both the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island. This will be replaced by the new Cars attractions, creating Piston Peak National Park.
Disney has also teased that "new magic" will be coming to the extended refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We are curious to see what the look of Frontierland will be with so many changes to the "Wild West" theme that this land has held since the park first opened in 1971.
Something Missing in Frontierland

The Disney Parks utilize cutting-edge technology. At its best, guests are left mesmerized and feel immersed in their favorite stories. At its worst, rides temporarily close, and sometimes guests can see the malfunctions in person.
Earlier, we shared that for several days, the Country Bears have continuously delighted Guests at the Grizzly Hall with the exception of Teddi Barra.
Teddi Barra was missing for both the duet and the grand finale as well. Thankfully, she has returned today and descend from the ceiling right on cue to the delight of Guests.
Country Bear Muscial Jamboree

The former Country Bear Jamboree performed its last show on January 27, 2024, at Magic Kingdom. After being closed for several months, this attraction received a much-needed refurbishment and even a name change.
For several days Teddi Barre was missing from the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
I (Donna) personally enjoy the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree featuring many of our favorite Disney classics with a fun country twist. We love that Teddi Barre has returned, and the entire gang can delight Guests throughout the day at Magic Kingdom.
