Something Is Missing Aboard Disney's PeopleMover
Your favorite ride above Tomorrowland is now a bit different. Find out what is missing and how long this change will take place.
Tomorrowland PeopleMover

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is one of our favorite attractions. For a few moments, you can sit back and relax and take in the sights of Tomorrowland. There are even moments where you can see inside Space Mountain.
Since this attraction continuously runs, you can often enjoy this without too much of a wait. Recently, this attraction made a change to the entrance that helps make enjoying this attraction even easier.
One of my (Donna) favorite spots is the model of Progress City. This was Walt Disney's original plan for EPCOT.
PeopleMover Change

This 10-minute ride allows guests to go behind the scenes of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, hear squeals as you zip through Space Mountain, and even check out the Star Traders gift shop.
Previously, the PeopleMover allowed guests to go behind the scenes of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. On a recent trip along the PeopleMover, we were curious to how the recent closure of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin would affect this attraction.
There was no audio sharing the temporary closure of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. In the past, Disney would provide a teaser of what was to come with work. We experienced this aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad for work on TRON, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, and most recently at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin temporarily closed in August 2025. Due to the full overhaul of this refurbishment, the attraction will reopen next year. You can see the new attraction vehicles HERE.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is now missing from the PeopleMover audio narration.
When we passed by Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, we simply saw plastic sheeting at the opening of the attraction. It appeared that the lights were on inside the attraction, showing what appeared to be metal scaffolding inside (as pictured above).
