Big Change Affects EPCOT's Cosmic Rewind This Month
Watch out all EPCOTians or "People of EPCOT" because Guardians of the Galaxy will make a big change this month.
Cosmic Rewind
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind still garners high wait times at EPCOT and for good reason. Since dropping the Virtual Queue back in February 2025, this is one of the most popular attractions for EPCOT-ians to rope drop.
Some guests return to this attraction for the great thrills of rotating 360 degrees throughout the attraction. And, other guests love the overall theming of the Guardians of the Galaxy crew.
Still, other guests have a goal to enjoy all 6 songs featured for this attraction. It took some time for me (Donna) to finally experience all 6 songs.
Cosmic Rewind Big Change
Guests often ask Cast Members if they can request a particular song for Cosmic Rewind. Cast Members are unable to accommodate these requests as the songs shuffle randomly.
For years, Disney fans have mentioned that "September" should be played on repeat for one special date, September 21. Seriously how cool would that be to hear "Do you remember the 21st night of September?" on September 21?!
As in previous years, Disney just confirmed that this repeat will return again this year on Monday, September 21, 2026. This is my (Donna) favorite song for this attraction, and I wish I were currently booking a plane ticket for this special day.
Our suggestion would be to purchase the Lightning Lane Single Pass for this attraction early to be able to enjoy this 1 day special overlay.
The Supernova Sip
Only available on September 21, 2026, EPCOTians can enjoy the "The Supernova Sip" that features hot honey and lemon, complete with edible glitter and topped with orange cotton candy.
September 21, 2026 offers limited time experience aboard Cosmic Rewind and the Supernova Sip.
The Supernova Sip will only be available for purchase at EPCOT's Connections Cafe on September 21, 2026.
