More Changes for Disney World Dining Reservations
This week, many changes have been made to book Advanced Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World. Check out the most recent change.
My Disney Experience App

Although many guests would rather not be on their phone while on vacation, the My Disney Experience app is truly invaluable. After all, it has everything you need to enjoy a magical vacation!
You can make dining reservations, place mobile orders, skip the merchandise line with mobile checkout, and even book your next attraction Lightning Lane time.
Like all apps, it receives regular updates to improve the overall guest experience. Earlier this summer, Disney created a new update that would help streamline booking dining reservations.
Disney Dining Reservation Setback

Last week, Walt Disney World hoped to open Advanced Dining Reservations for the brand new Beak and Barrel Lounge, but this was met with a major technical glitch, which made all dining reservations unavailable to guests.
As Disney prepared to open Advanced Dining Reservations again, they made a BIG change. When guests attempt to make an Advanced Dining Reservation on the app, they are redirected to the Walt Disney World website.
This is similar to when guests make Theme Park Reservations on the My Disney Experience app. In a way, this seems like a step back from the streamlined process that created on the My Disney Experience app this summer.
Disney World Dining Reservation Change

With the initial release of Beak and Barrel dining reservations, it now appears that order has been restored to the My Disney Experience app. Now, when guests use the app to make dining reservations, they are no longer redirected to the Walt Disney World website.
This week, guests were redirected from the My Disney Experience app to the Walt Disney World website to book dining reservations
We do hope that some additional magic may be taking place behind the scenes with Disney IT to help prevent this from occurring again.
