Dates to Avoid Disney World This Fall
Mark your calendars to avoid EPCOT on this date! If you are planning to visit Walt Disney World this fall, you will want to check out a few key dates affecting both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
Magic Kingdom Dates to Avoid

Magic Kingdom is a "must-do" for many families visiting Walt Disney World, but there are a few dates that you may want to avoid the Magic Kingdom. There are several Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party dates this fall.
Guests can enjoy lower possible lower wait times on party dates; however, Happily Ever After fireworks and the new Disney Starlight nighttime parade are not offered on party nights. You can see a full listing of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party nights HERE.
This also applies to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates, which begin this fall. Click HERE for full dates. Along with these early park closings, Magic Kingdom will close early for another date in October for a corporate private event.
Date to avoid EPCOT

October is a busy month at Walt Disney World and will also include the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. This race weekend consists of a 5k on Friday, October 24th; a 10K on Saturday, October 25th; and a half-marathon on Sunday, October 26th.
The half-marathon course affects the opening of EPCOT on Sunday, October 26th. Typically, EPCOT opens for Early Entry for Resort Guests at 8:30 am and for all Guests at 9:00 am.
On October 26, 2025, EPCOT will open a full hour later. Early Entry will begin at 9:30 am, and all Guests may enter at 10:00 am.
Why to avoid EPCOT This October

Along with opening later, several other factors may cause you to rethink visiting EPCOT on Sunday, October 26, 2025. During the morning, there may be more Guests than usual due to runners completing the race and taking photos in the park.

EPCOT will also host the Post-Race Party that evening. The party officially begins at 10:00 pm after the park is closed to guests with park tickets, but guests coming to the Post-Race Party may enter EPCOT at 5:00 pm.
Due to the late opening and additional guests in the morning after the race and in the evening for the Post-Race Party, this may be a busy day at EPCOT.
