Magic Kingdom is a "must-do" for many families visiting Walt Disney World, but this park is priced the highest of all 4 Theme Parks for a single-day ticket.

Along with this, the price for the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass is typically the most expensive for Magic Kingdom as well. Since guests are paying a premium price for a day at the Magic Kingdom, you will want to select the best possible date to enjoy all of the magic.

Recently, Magic Kingdom debuted the new Disney Starlight nighttime parade. Currently, this parade runs twice each night with Happily Ever After in between parade times.

Heading into this fall, the opportunity to enjoy the Disney Starlight parade decreases. As we mentioned before, Disney Starlight will not offer showtimes on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party nights.

This affects 7 dates in August, 14 dates in September, and a whopping 17 dates in October. Click HERE to see a full listing of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party dates.

In previous years, we recommended visiting the Magic Kingdom on party dates to enjoy lower crowds, but if you are hoping to enjoy the Disney Starlight parade, this may not be the best strategy. This may also make the Magic Kingdom even busier on non-party nights.

As if it weren't enough for Magic Kingdom to close early 17 dates for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, the Magic Kingdom will close early for a private event in October as well.

The Garner IT Symposium will host a conference at the Swan & Dolphin Resort, October 20-23, 2025. On their website for this conference, they share, "Don't miss our special event at the Magic Kingdom Theme Park! We've reserved the entire park so you can enjoy food, beverages, and access to popular attractions."

Looking at these dates, the special event could occur on October 20th, 21st, or 22nd. There is already a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party scheduled for the 23rd.

At this time, the Walt Disney World calendar does not extend past October 7th. If you are traveling the week of October 19th, this means that the Magic Kingdom will only offer Disney Starlight 3 out of the 7 nights.
