Magic Kingdom Extends Park Hours for New Nighttime Parade

Have you missed late nights soaking in the magic of Magic Kingdom? Now, thanks to “Starlight: Dream the Night Parade,” get ready to enjoy Magic Kingdom even longer.

Park hours are a great way to plan which park you would like to visit each day. Walt Disney World posts rather standard park hours in advance, and many times these park hours are extended. This is great news when you are planning your trip to enjoy both an earlier entry and a later park closing.

And if you’re staying at a Disney Resort, take advantage of the extra 30 minutes each morning to enter the parks with the early entry benefit. Take a look at previously extended hours announced HERE.

Our Kenny the Pirate writing team updates you with the latest news on Disney’s theme parks. Disney’s initial park hours can help you prepare for your visit, but they often change as the dates approach.

Get ready to spend more time in “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Magic Kingdom’s operating hours are now officially extended on the My Disney Experience app until 11:00 pm nightly starting on July 20th.

This later closure extends through August 2nd. Earlier, we shared that Magic Kingdom will offer 2 showtimes nightly for “Starlight: Dream the Night Parade”. We suspect that this 11:00 pm closing time for Magic Kingdom will continue even further.

It will be interesting to see if Magic Kingdom will offer just one showtime for “Starlight: Dream the Night Parade” when the crowds are somewhat “slower” (although Walt Disney World does not have an actual slow season).

Disappointing Change for Extended Evening Hours

This does affect Extended Evening Hours for guests staying at Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts. We have shared that there is a new shift offering Disney’s Animal Kingdom in place of Magic Kingdom on select nights, with one exception.

We do love extra time to enjoy Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but this park offers fewer attractions for Extended Evening Hours compared to Magic Kingdom.
