Extended Evening Hours Change We Have Been Hoping For

After several weeks, we are thrilled to see this change to Extended Evening Hours at Walt Disney World. Find out how this may affect your next Walt Disney World trip.

Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at night after everyone else has left. This is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high-tier resorts.

Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday, and Magic Kingdom hosts Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday. This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.

For the most part, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are left out of the Extended Evening Hours fun, but we have noticed a new trend this summer.

Heading into July 2025, Disney's Animal Kingdom offers 6 dates for Extended Evening Hours on July 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and August 6. These are all offered on Wednesdays, which is typically the day of the week for Magic Kingdom Extended Evening Hours.

We do love extra time to enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom, but this park offers fewer attractions for Extended Evening Hours compared to Magic Kingdom.

Beginning in August, Magic Kingdom will once again offer Extended Evening Hours.

Looking ahead, Magic Kingdom will host Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:00 pm until midnight. (Park hours subject to change). We hope this trend continues with Extended Evening Hours at Magic Kingdom.

This summer, Extended Evening Hours shifted to Disney's Animal Kingdom.

We speculated that the reason for the shift of Extended Evening Hours to Disney's Animal Kingdom in July could be due to the debut of "Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away" at Magic Kingdom. With the opening date of this parade being July 20th, this may be the reason for this change.
