More Construction at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts

Many of us were hoping that the construction at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts would soon be ending. However, even more construction is happening and will last into the fall.

The word refurbishment can strike dread in the hearts of Disney World Guests and fans. No one likes to spend months planning a trip only to find your favorite attraction, resort, restaurant, shop, or even recreational activity is subject to refurbishment plans.

Refurbishments can occur at attractions, resorts, restaurants, shops, and even recreational activities.

Unfortunately, these are needed to keep the Disney Parks in their best possible shape to avoid malfunctions and breakdowns. Sometimes they last only a few days or weeks while others may extend for months and months.

Stormalong Bay

Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts is home to Stormalong Bay, one of the best feature pools at Disney World! Enjoy a pirate shipwreck, a lazy river, a sand-bottom pool, and so much more. You can read more about why many think it's the best pool HERE.

Disney does try to update guests on upcoming refurbishments and closures in advance when possible.

Unfortunately, this refurbishment has taken longer than expected. In March, Disney shared the news that the refurbishment would take an additional month, leaving this popular pool closed for SIX MONTHS! You can read the details HERE.

Fortunately, we are nearing the end of the Stormalong Bay refurbishment. The refurbishment is planned to run through June.

Disney Announces a New Yacht Club Resort Refurbishment — Credit: Disney

Disney has shared that more refurbishment is happening at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Both resorts will be undergoing routine exterior maintenance. While the refurbishment is occurring, each resort's porte cochere will be closed. However, all services including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation will remain available.

Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be undergoing routine exterior maintenace.

Disney's Beach Club's exterior refurbishment will take place from early June through September 2025. Disney's Yacht Club's exterior refurbishment will take place from early July through October 2025.
